last blog!

custom imageWell it seems like just yesterday that I was starting blogs in Mrs. Hayes English 3 class. Now this is my last post. Where has the time gone? Junior year went by pretty fast, and I actually enjoyed English this year. Blogging made it so much easier to keep up with unlike the traditional five paragraph essays which everyone hates. We had more freedom with everything that we wrote about, which I liked. I could actually use humor on here which I couldn't do in an essay or research paper. They also weren't strict, we could just make stuff up connect it to our book and we had a post.

Fremdenging was also a new experience. It was cool how we got to interact with other students in a different school. We got their input on our blogs and we got to see and comment on their blogs as well. I think blogging and fremdenging also helped our technology skills. I learned how to make animotos and word mosaics and all sorts of other things so I could add them to my blog. Overall, I liked the new experience of blogging and getting away from the boring old english papers. It was fun and creative. I only hope that next year in my English 4 class we will do something fun instead of papers... haha. For now, I'm done with blogging and I have SUMMER 2012 to look forward to! (:

Thanks for reading my blogs this year!
So tell me... How did I do my first year of blogging?

  1. Hey, Abbie, this is Soumya from Fremd! I totally agree with you. Blogging was a new experience and I really enjoyed it. It was also cool skyping with your class (I don't know if it was your class or Mrs. Hayes's other class, sorry). I definitely think more schools should do this. Great post!

  3. Hey! This is Michael, following the trend of telling you I'm from Fremd. This is exactly how everyone in my class feels about blogging. It's a way to express yourself with words, but be sort of free, too! Comedy is something I try to incorporate into my blogs.

  4. Hello! I'm Laura, also from Fremd. haha. We all really like blogging. I agree, it's much better than countless papers. I love that it's more relaxed and you have so much more freedom. It's too bad we didn't get to Skype again, because that was pretty fun. You all are so lucky! I think you finish a week or two before us. Anyway, great blog!

  5. Hey, this is Connor Pozzi from Fremd. Your imagechef is super cool! Our class agreed that it was a great experience collaborating with the students from CCHS this year. Mrs. Hayes seems like a really nice and knowledgeable teacher, just like our admirable Gary Anderson. I hope that you have a fantastic summer and continue your experience with blogging!

  7. Hi, I'm Annie from Fremd. This year was my first experience blogging in an English class and it's been a great year. I was really excited to be able to share my thoughts not only in class but on the internet as well. It was also really fun to be able to have the ability to blog with another school.

  10. Hey I'm Jenavieve from Fremd. I thought blogging was a really unique way to put our thoughts out there for everyone to see! I know other teachers from other schools appreciated it and not only that but whenever we blogged about an author the author usually responded! So that was neat. For some this has made them want to continue blogging but as for me I thought it was just a nice experience.

  11. Hey! My name is Irina and I am a Fremd blogger. I have to say that I agree with you on how fun it was to blog this year. This was my first experience blogging too. I can say that I am very glad that I didn't have to do as many essays in English thanks to blogging. I agree with you all the way when you say that this was fun. I never got to experience blogging until English this year. I think it is way more fun than the other stuff we might have done. Also i like how we connected with your school and blogged together. This was one experience I would never like to miss out on.
